Although a relatively popular activity, there aren’t too many places to play pool in Connecticut. However, there are still a few good billiards halls left in the state if you know where to look.
That’s why I recently decided to visit a few of the most popular pool halls to see which ones are actually your time. Without further ado, these are the best places to play pool in CT.
Top Pool Halls in CT – Where to Play Pool
1. Yale Billiards
Yale Billiards is one of the top places to play billiards in CT. Located in Wallingford, this pool hall has plenty of high-quality billiard tables, along with a full bar, keno, and a pool league that meets regularly.
Pool games here are very affordable, and the staff is super friendly. Yale Billiards is open 7 days a week, usually from 3 pm to 1 am.

2. Racks Billiards and Bar
Whether you’re a pro or just someone looking to have some fun, Racks Billiards and Bar is a great place to play pool. They have 16 pool tables, plus a league that meets several times every week.
In addition to pool tables, Racks Billiards also has a well-stocked bar and kitchen, along with several flat-screen TVs, which are perfect for watching the game. I highly recommend you try one of their famous quesadillas when you visit.

3. Branford Cue & Brew Inc
Branford Cue & Brew Inc is another excellent spot to play billiards in Connecticut. This pool hall has plenty of regulation-sized tables that they maintain for competitions, as well as ten professional dart boards.
It’s super cheap to play pool here, and the food is pretty good too. I highly recommend you bring your pool cue and check this place out in Branford.

4. Buckland Billiards and Bar
Buckland Billiards and Bar is a family-owned pool hall and bar in Manchester, Connecticut. They have 18 tables, most of which are open to the public (some are closed for league games on certain days).
Although this pool hall has a bar, kids can play here as well if they are accompanied by their parents. They also offer pool lessons for $45 an hour if you’re looking to improve your game.

5. Shooters Billiards & Arcade
Shooters Billiards & Arcade is one more place to play pool in Connecticut. They usually have a fair number of pool tables available, but the selection can be a bit limited when events are going on.
As the name suggests, Shooters Billiards & Arcade also has a couple of arcade games to play. They have a decent food menu as well. This is a good place to play billiards if you live in the Waterbury-Hartford area.

6. Towne Billiards
Towne Billiards is a highly-rated pool hall in CT found in the New Haven area. They have 18 Gold Crown 3 tournament-size pool tables, dart boards, a lounge & restaurant, and TVs for watching the game.
The tables here are always clean, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is great too, as they are always very friendly to guests.

7. Bulleye’s Billards and Bar
Bulleye’s Billards and Bar is one more pool hall in Connecticut. Located in East Haven, this place has a very chill atmosphere with plenty of pool tables and good music.
The pool hall is open every day from 4 pm to 1 am. They don’t currently have a website, but you can find Bulleye’s Billards and Bar on Facebook.

8. Pool Table Magic
Pool Table Magic is one of the pool halls in CT that hosts local billiards events. The main room here has 11 Brunswick Gold Crown tables with regulation pockets that are in excellent condition. Plus, there’s a private room with 2 vintage Brunswick Anniversary tables.
This is a fantastic place to play pool and hang out since they also have an internet jukebox, along with food and drinks.

These are the best places to play billiards in the state of Connecticut. All of these spots have high-quality pool tables, so I recommend visiting the pool hall closest to you.
