There is no shortage of places to eat great Thai food in Connecticut. But if you haven’t tried them all, it’s easy to miss some of the best Thai restaurants in the state.
So, I recently went out of my way to find all the best Thai restaurants in Connecticut. After some searching, I found these to be the top places to eat Thai food in CT.
Top Thai Restaurants in Connecticut
1. September in Bangkok – New Haven
September in Bangkok is one of the best Thai restaurants in CT. This spot offers authentic Thai food with a modern twist.
You can order favorites like samosa rolls, pad Thai, grilled skirt steak, massaman chicken, pulled pork, and Thai fried rice.
All of the dishes are made with the highest quality ingredients, so the food always tastes good. You can enjoy your meal at a table indoors or take your food onto the patio for some outdoor dining.

2. Blue Elephant Trail – West Hartford
Blue Elephant Trail is a trendy Thai eatery found in West Hartford. The restaurant sources local ingredients and offers gluten-free versions of most of its dishes.
The menu features foods like pad Thai, drunken noodles, basil fried rice, ginger duck, grilled salmon, Thai calamari, and Thai curry in a variety of different flavors.
This spot is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, plus they have the option of ordering your food for takeout or delivery.

3. Somewhere In Bangkok – Southington
Somewhere In Bangkok is another popular Thai restaurant in Connecticut. They serve a wide range of Thai cuisines with different flavors, including sweet, sour, hot, bitter, and salty.
You’re able to order dishes like duck noodle soup, Bangkok egg rolls, Bangkok chicken wings, fried tofu, shrimp in a blanket, and Thai curry. Also, make sure you try the boba tea.
The Thai dining here is very authentic, and certainly one of the best in the state. Somewhere In Bangkok has a second location in Avon as well.

Jasmine Thai Restaurant is one of Connecticut’s few Thai spots located in New London. The chefs here use high-quality ingredients to create Thai and Japanese delicacies.
Some of the dishes on the restaurant’s menu include spring rolls, curry, fried rice, pad Thai, pad knee mos, Thai pasta, mixed vegetables, basil duck, and red snapper.
There are a lot of options at Jasmine Thai Restaurant so there’s always something for everyone.

5. Ruuthai’s Kitchen – Bridgeport
Ruuthai’s Kitchen is a great place to eat Thai food in Connecticut if you live in the southern part of the state. Located in Bridgeport, this place offers affordable yet delicious Thai food.
The menu features plates like Thai BBQ pork, fried dumplings, edamame, Thai udon soup, pho bo vien, and Thai curry.
Ruuthai’s Kitchen serves lunch from 11 am to 3 pm and dinner from 4:30 pm to 9 pm on most days (the restaurant is closed from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. They are open every day of the week except for Tuesday.

Simply Thai Restaurant is a solid place to grab Thai food in Vernon, CT. The restaurant’s menu is very easy to understand the service is always on point.
A few of the featured dishes on the menu include rice noodles, duck served with jasmine rice, deep-fried spring rolls, spicy calamari, fried tofu, and a range of stir-fried entrees.
Just like Ruuthai’s Kitchen, Simply Thai Restaurant closes from 3 pm to 4:30 pm during the week.

7. Kob Jai Pho and Thai Restaurant – Rocky Hill
Kob Jai Pho and Thai Restaurant is a great place to eat in Rocky Hill. The food is fresh is the service is usually pretty fast.
The menu has a selection of tasty Asian dishes like Thai yum, pad Thai, drunken noodles, Thai lo mein, and orange chicken. I highly recommend getting the crispy fried Thai chicken.
You’re able to dine in at Kob Jai Pho or order your food for pickup or delivery.

8. Mae Kong Thai Restaurant – New Britain
Mae Kong Thai Restaurant is another popular spot to order food from Thailand. This Thai cafe offers traditional Thai cuisines like noodles, curries, and vegetables.
Some of the specialties on the menu include chicken sa-tay, pad kee mao, and seafood delight. A few of my favorite plates here are the laab chicken wings and the deep-fried rolls.
Like many other Connecticut Thai restaurants, Mae Kong Thai offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Just know that they are closed on Sundays.

9. Sawadee Thai Cuisine – South Windsor
Sawadee Thai Cuisine is a CT Thai restaurant located in South Windsor. This small restaurant has a great ambiance, which is why so many people rate it so highly.
The menu features Thai appetizers like spring rolls, dumplings, and fried tofu, along with entrees like panang duck, curry, volcano chicken, and pad woonsen.
Sawadee Thai Cuisine is open for business every day except for Sundays.

10. Sukhothai Restaurant – Manchester
Sukhothai Restaurant is one more Thai restaurant in CT. Located in Manchester, this low-key restaurant is known for exceptional food and friendly service.
You can order all kinds of Thai cuisine here, including fried tofu, winter shrimp, wonton soup, Thai curry, salmon, duck, fried rice, and noodles with your choice of meat.
This place is also BYOB-friendly. You can order food at Sukhothai Restaurant every day except for Monday.
