If you’re looking for a new place to eat out in North Haven, you’ve come to the right place. I recently got tired of eating at the big chains, like Olive Garden and Outback Steakhouse, and decided to try some of the local restaurants.
After a few weeks of taste testing, I found a few local spots that I really like, and I think you’ll enjoy them too. These are the best restaurants in North Haven, CT.

1. State Street Cafe
The State Street Cafe is a great restaurant in North Haven. This is a popular place to grab breakfast and lunch, as they serve an array of items like steak & eggs, breakfast burritos, burgers, quesadillas, and sandwiches.
The chefs here only use the finest and freshest ingredients from local sources, so the food always tastes great. You can dine in, order takeout, or delivery. There’s also a drive-through option available.

2. Ludal’s Italian Restaurant
Ludal’s Italian Restaurant is an excellent spot to eat Italian food in North Haven. You can find them right off I-95, offering an extensive menu of Italian classics.
You can order dishes like meatballs & sausage, lobster ravioli, and stuffed crispy chicken. They also have a number of delicious appetizers. I really enjoyed the shrimp cocktails and the fried calamari.

The Athena Diner II is a family-owned North Haven restaurant that specializes in international dishes and Greek cuisine. The menu has plenty of tasty dishes, including Greek gyros, veal parmigiana, baked meatloaf, and t-bone steaks.

If you dine in, the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating on the outdoor patio. You’re also able to order your food for takeout and delivery through GrubHub and Uber Eats. Just know that Grand Apizza North is closed on Mondays.

There’s a wide range of sushi options available at Sushi Palace, including specialty rolls, maki, sashimi, and hand rolls. Some of my favorite dishes here are the tuna avocado rolls and the spicy salmon rolls.

A couple of the items on the menu include red snapper, yellowtail, squid, tuna, sea urchin, and salmon. Tokyo Sushi offers bento boxes as well. I always get the steak teriyaki bento box. You can order online, or dine in if you choose.

The menu at Torito Mexican Restaurant is quite large and features items like Mexican street tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas, and chips & salsa. They have a number of vegetarian dishes as well. The staff here is always friendly, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.
