While looking for a place to order Chinese food in Waterbury, I was having a difficult time finding a spot that made consistently good food. So, I recently tried all the top Chinese restaurants in the city to see which ones were the best.

Highland Garden is one of the best takeout Chinese restaurants in Waterbury, Connecticut. This place is known for its large portion sizes and high-quality standards.
The menu features a range of Chinese dishes, including lo mein, chow mein, chop suey, fried rice, and a number of combination plates. I highly recommend that you try the Szechuan-style General Tso’s chicken.
Highland Garden is open from 10:30 am until around 10 pm on most days and offers both takeout and delivery.

Asian Garden is a great Chinese restaurant located on East Main Street. They use fresh ingredients to create modern interpretations of classic dishes from China.

Cheng Square offers dishes like sushi, pan-fried noodles, chow mein, egg foo young, pork, and seafood. They have really good ice cream as well, plus the staff is always super friendly. This is a great restaurant for sit-down dining.

China Wok is a Chinese restaurant found on the Wolcott-Waterbury border. They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery every day of the week except for Monday.
You’re able to order dishes like roasted pork, shrimp, moo shu chicken, chicken chow mein, mixed vegetables, and boneless spare ribs. This is an excellent place to eat lunch considering they have very affordable lunch specials from 11 am to 3 pm.

Most of the restaurants on this list offer takeout, but only a couple of them do delivery. My favorite place to order delivery from is The Red Corner.
