I recently went out of my way to try all of the most popular brunch restaurants in the city to see which ones are the best. After some careful consideration, I’ve determined that these are the best places to eat brunch in Stamford, CT.
Top Stamford Brunch Restaurants
1. Prime – An American Kitchen and Bar
Prime is one of the best Stamford brunch spots. This American Kitchen and Bar has made a name for itself by serving high-end steak and seafood with top-notch service. They offer world-class sushi and USDA Prime dry-aged beef on their normal menu, but they have a special Sunday brunch as well.
For brunch, you can order exotic dishes like lobster omelets, crab benedict, short ribs & eggs, pastrami & lobster hash, and amaretti French toast. I highly recommend that you try the lobster huevos rancheros paired with some specialty cocktails. Just note that brunch is only available on Sundays from 12 pm to 3 pm.

2. Elm Street Diner
Elm Street Diner is one of the most popular brunch spots in Stamford. This family-owned diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week, making it a favorite among locals.
The restaurant has an extensive menu of breakfast items, including omelets, chicken & waffles, steak & eggs, corned beef hash, buttermilk pancakes, egg sandwiches, and greek yogurt, to name a few dishes. The Elm Street Diner is super affordable as well.

3. Sign of the Whale
The Sign of the Whale is another great brunch spot in Stamford. They only serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am to 3 pm, but the food is amazing.
You can order dishes like brunch empanadas, steak & eggs, eggs benedict, Belgian waffles, smoked salmon sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and eggs your way. The breakfast pizza with scrambled eggs, sausage, smoked bacon, and cheese is delicious as well.

4. Hudson Social
Hudson Social is another one of the top brunches in Stamford, Connecticut. This restaurant has a full bar, along with both indoor and outdoor seating, making for a very enjoyable atmosphere.
Hudson Social serves a wide range of breakfast and brunch dishes, like avocado toast, huevos ranches, bacon & cheese omelets, French toast, and banana pancakes. One of my favorite dishes available here is the brunch burger, which consists of fried eggs, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese.

5. Bedford Hall Craft Kitchen & Bar
Bedford Hall Craft Kitchen & Bar is a Stamford brunch restaurant found across the street from Hudson Social. This classic American diner serves a tasty weekend brunch, with bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s for only $18.95.
Some of the more notable dishes on the menu here include shrimp, grits & eggs, crab benedict, morning tacos, fried chicken biscuits, blueberry pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and steak & eggs. Brunch is only available at Bedford Hall on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. You can make a reservation to dine in, but they also offer takeout and delivery.

6. The Wheel
The Wheel is one of the Stamford brunch spots with a beautiful waterfront view. If you can get a table by the window, I recommend you do so. They serve American cuisine made with fresh ingredients sourced from over 40 local farmers.
The Wheel serves brunch foods like eggs benedict, steak & eggs, braised short rib hash, French toast, and yogurt parfaits. You can also get some seafood delicacies, like east coast oysters and shrimp cocktails. The banana buttermilk bread is definitely worth a try too.

7. Murphy’s Townhouse Cafe
Murphy’s Townhouse Cafe is another restaurant that serves Sunday brunch. This is a lesser-known brunch spot, but there’s a reason why people review it so highly. It has great food and a very relaxed environment.
Some of the meal options on the menu at Murphy’s Townhouse Cafe include Texas French toast, chicken & waffles, the all-day breakfast burger, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, and shrimp & grits. Brunch is served here from 11 am to 3 pm.

8. Blackstones Steakhouse
Blackstones Steakhouse is one more brunch spot found in Stamford’s Landmark Square. The restaurant is known for offering a lively dining experience in the heart of downtown Stamford.
Although a bit pricy, Blackstones Steakhouse serves an excellent brunch. You can order items like hash browns, steak & eggs, omelets, salmon & tuna burgers, and avocado toast. Their smoked turkey bacon is a must-have if you eat here. Just know that brunch is only served on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm

9. Tigin Irish Pub
Tigin Irish Pub offers another solid Stamford brunch option. Although it’s known more as an Irish bar, this place serves some really good brunch foods.
A couple of standout items on the menu were the American breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage links, toast & hash browns), smoked salmon bagel, and Irish breakfast sandwich. And of course, they have a selection of drinks, like bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and Irish coffee.

10. Flinders Lane Kitchen & Bar
Flinders Lane Kitchen & Bar is a top spot to grab brunch in the city. You can find this kitchen and bar in the heart of downtown Stamford. Brunch is served on Sundays, from 12 pm to 3 pm.
This is one of the restaurants that have a limited brunch menu, but it’s very affordable and the food is good. You can order chocolate French toast, buttermilk pancakes, granola dishes, and bacon, egg & cheese.

11. Table 104
Table 104 is a top Italian restaurant in Stamford that serves a solid Sunday brunch. They offer an all-in menu where you can order one appetizer and one main, but you can also order dishes a la carte.
Some of the more notable menu options at Table 104 include the fried eggs benedict, crispy calamari salad, parmesan-crusted chicken, buttermilk pancakes, and grilled burger pizza. Brunch is available at Table 104 every Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm.
