3. Elm Street Diner – Stamford, CT

The Elm Street Diner ranks as one of the most popular brunch spots in Stamford. It’s a family-owned diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. It’s also very affordable, making the restaurant a favorite among locals.

They have an expansive menu of brunch items, including omelets, chicken & waffles, steak & eggs, corned beef hash, buttermilk pancakes, egg sandwiches, and greek yogurt, to name a few dishes. Plus, the diner offers takeout and delivery, in addition to dine-in.

4. Cast Iron Chef Chop House & Oyster Bar – New Haven, CT

The Cast Iron Chef Chop House & Oyster Bar is one of Connecticut’s top brunch restaurants in New Haven. They only serve brunch on Sundays, but the food is extremely good.

The brunch menu features dishes like cinnamon rolls, homemade sausage, buttermilk biscuits, pancakes, salad, and steak & eggs. They have bottomless Bloody Marys and Mimosas as well. At $60 a person, it’s one of the pricier brunches in Connecticut, however, it’s all-you-can-eat.

5. The Mill on the River – South Windsor, CT

The Mill on the River is a highly-rated CT brunch spot located in South Windsor. The menu features dishes like eggs benedict, Belgian waffles, filet mignon benedict, steak & eggs, fresh fruit, home-fried potatoes, and Norwegian salmon hollandaise.

This upscale restaurant only serves brunch on Sundays, but the food and service are both top-notch. There’s a reason why this place gets such great reviews online.

6. The Corner Restaurant – Milford, CT

The Corner Restaurant brands itself as “The best place to eat brunch in America,” and I can say that they certainly live up to the name. This spot offers a ton of unique breakfast dishes that you won’t find anywhere else.

One of their most famous dishes is the duck breakfast wrap, which does not disappoint. Other dishes on the menu include flatbreads, eggs, quesadillas, breakfast tacos, French toast, and omelets. To bring it all together, this brunch spot has a great atmosphere and fantastic service.

Foundry Kitchen and Tavern is one of the best Sunday brunch spots in the Danbury area (technically you can order brunch on Saturday here as well). This restaurant & bar serves plenty of classic brunch dishes like avocado toast, short rib hash, eggs, and French toast.

Since this spot is a bar, you can also order a selection of excellent drinks like Mimosas, Manmosas, Bloody Marys, and other brunch cocktails. Dining here is always a fun time.

10. Rise – Mystic, CT

Rise is one of CT’s brunch spots in New London County. This small eatery sources its ingredients locally, so you know the food is good. Very few people know about this quaint little brunch restaurant.

The brunch menu offers things like organic coffee, egg sandwiches, French toast, and pancakes. I also highly recommend you try the eggs benedict since the Hollandaise sauce is really good here.

Connecticut Brunches – Final Thoughts

Those are a few of the best spots to eat brunch in Connecticut. If you’re looking for a brunch buffet, I highly recommend the Nutmeg Restaurant and Banquet in East Windsor. It’s only open on Sunday, but the food is fantastic. You can learn more about it in the article I recently published about the best buffets in CT.
